A cool café in your neighbourhood? You’ll find it with lightning speed using an app on your mobile phone. And thanks to your navigation app you’ll never be lost again. In the Geo Media & Design Bachelor’s programme you will learn how to combine geography, new media and design into similarly innovative products and services. You will learn how to think geographically and how to make complex issues comprehensible. You will become the translator between a customer with a spatial question and the IT professional with the tools.
At Geo Media & Design, you’ll explore the world of virtual and augmented reality for four years. You will be performing data analysis and data visualisation, for instance in infographics. And you will be taught a solid dose of geography. You will learn how to design information about place and time in an enticing and creative way, using new media such as smartphones, tablets and apps. You can do so for instance in the Geo Lab, where you will be working with the latest hardware and software on spatial solutions.
International students can apply for the Dutch-taught programmes if they have completed at least 6 years of secondary school and their diploma is an equivalent of the Dutch HAVO diploma. Once we have received your application, the level of your high school diploma will be evaluated by the International Office and the study advisor of the programme of your choice.
All students who are not Dutch native speakers need to submit proof of their language skills before they can be admitted to a Dutch-taught programme.
